Ginakakuji Onishi was founded in Kitashirakawa, Kyoto in 1950, and it was incorporated in 1969. While working to increase our expertise in retail meat business, we have continued taking on new challenges in view of becoming an even better company. The scope of our business today has widened considerably from the starting point of meat retail, to include meat whole sale, restaurant, supermarket, overseas trading and home-meal-replacement businesses. In order to provide unwavering safety and quality, Ginkakuji Onishi implemented ISO9001: 2000&HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system in 2001. We became the first company in the meat retail and wholesale industry to achieve HACCP standard and certification. As a result of our efforts, we were awarded by Kyoto City in 2006 as one of the superior sanitary controlled properties of food in Kyoto. We will further enhance the existence value of companies in society and contribute to improving the status of the industry. To share the deliciousness of the best Wagyu with people around the world, Ginkakuji Onishi started our export business in 2015. We are continuously working on developing our export products and expending our network, and currently reaching to 30 countries as our export destination. At Onishi, we work closely with our global partners, offering various support including menu development and sharing Wagyu cutting knowledge, to make sure we provide our client with the best experience and service possible.
